Children's Education
At CPC, we love children and desire to train them up in the ways of the Lord. We believe that children learn much about worship from sitting in worship and participating as much as they are able. To that end, we encourage children to stay in the worship service. However, we also know that sometimes children are not able to sit through a service. We have two options available for parents and children. First, for children from birth through age four, we have a nursery available during the service. Second, for children who are not comfortable in the nursery, or if they are five or older, we have a family room at the back of the sanctuary (with sound for parents to listen to the service).
During discipleship hour, we have classes for kids from birth through high school:
- The nursery and preschool class is for kids from birth to four years old. Kids participate in an age-appropriate lesson with Bible stories, prayer, and activities.
- The elementary class is for kids in kindergarten through fifth grade. Kids pray, learn from the Bible, do a craft or activity, and work on scripture or catechism memorization.
- The youth discipleship class is for middle school and high school kids. Kids begin in the sanctuary with adults for Q&A about the sermon. Then they split off from the adults for a discipleship-focused time of teaching and prayer.
Youth Group
Middle school and high school kids meet for youth group twice a month on Sunday evenings.
