Giving as Worship at Christ Presbyterian Church
“For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sake He became poor, so that you by His poverty might become rich.” — 2 Corinthians 8:9
Giving of Our Resources: Tithes & Offerings
God is the owner of all things (Ps 24:1). In gratitude for His grace and in joyful dependence on Him, we set aside a portion of our income for His work (cf. Lev 27:30; Mt 23:23; 2 Cor 9:7). At CPC, this giving fuels:
- Gospel Ministry & Worship: Worship, discipleship, and ministry initiatives
- Pastoral Care & Equipping: Providing for a full-time pastor so he can devote himself to preaching, prayer, shepherding visits, counseling, and training every member for ministry (Acts 6:4; Eph 4:11-12; 1 Tim 5:17-18)
- Mercy & Benevolence: The Deacons’ Benevolence Fund provides confidential relief for members facing emergency needs (Gal 6:10; Jas 2:15-16)
- Mission & Church Planting: Local and global outreach, including our partnership with the Northern New England Presbytery
How to Give
On Sundays: Place cash or checks in the offering box at the rear of the sanctuary
By mail: Christ Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 336, Nashua, NH 03061
Online: Secure giving through Church Center
All gifts are stewarded by the Session and Deacons, with year-end financial reporting for accountability (monthly budget information available in the bulletin). If you have a financial need or know someone who does, please speak with an elder or deacon; the body of Christ is eager to help (2 Cor 8:14).
Giving of Our Time & Gifts: Opportunities for Ministry
Every believer receives Spirit-given gifts “for the common good” (1 Cor 12:7). Membership at CPC marks a covenant commitment to serve one another in love. Consider:
- Prayer Ministries: Weekly corporate prayer, men’s prayer cohorts
- Discipleship Hour Teams: Teaching children (Pre-K through 5th grade), facilitating youth & adult lessons, hospitality
- Worship Arts & Tech: Music, Scripture reading, livestream & slides
- Mercy & Hospitality: Family Promise, meal trains, visitation
- Triads & Small Groups: Shepherding, encouragement, outreach
A wedding celebrates the beginning of a covenant; likewise, joining CPC launches a new season of unity and service. Ask a deacon or any elder how your time and talents can build up Christ’s church.
“As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” — 1 Peter 4:10
